Open Backlinks

Backlinks, the PirateSERP tool for link research, reports a domain's link profile: how many sites link to it, which linking domains carry the most authority, the strongest link from each domain, and how the profile compares with competitors. Link data is included with your subscription, so you don't need a separate data-provider key.

Run a lookup

1. Select the project. Domain takes your primary Rank Tracker target, or your project's website when the project has no Rank Tracker targets.
2. Review Domain, or enter a domain such as example.com.
3. Enter up to five domains in Competitors to compare (optional, up to 5, comma-separated), such as rival.com, other.com.
4. Click Run Backlinks.

Link data refreshes weekly. Looking up the same domain again within a week returns the saved result.

Read the report

The report heading names the domain and any competitors you entered.

• Domain rank is a relative link-authority score on a 0-1,000 scale.
• Referring domains counts linking websites, and Backlinks counts individual links.
• Dofollow share is the percentage of links marked dofollow.
• Avg. spam score is a review signal, not proof that a link is harmful.

The line under the tiles adds the number of referring IP addresses, the number of broken backlinks, the date of the first link seen, and the most common top-level domains and countries that the links come from.

• Compared with competitors shows Domain rank, Referring domains, Backlinks, Dofollow, and Avg. spam for your domain and each competitor.
• Top referring domains lists up to 20 linking domains with Domain rank, Backlinks, Linking pages, Spam score, and First seen.
• Top backlinks lists up to 20 links, the strongest link from each linking domain, with From page, Anchor, Links to, Follow, Rank, Spam score, and First seen.

Open each source page to judge its relevance and context. Click Export CSV to download the Top backlinks list. The lists are a sample, not a complete link inventory. When one section fails to load, it displays an error while the other sections keep their data.

If the report shows No backlinks found, check the spelling of the domain, or enter the bare domain without a subdomain.

Find past lookups

Past lookups lists every lookup in the active project, with its date and time. Click an entry to reopen its saved report, or click the delete icon to remove it. Deleting an entry does not start another lookup.

Different backlink services report different counts. Use the same service when you compare domains or track changes over time.
