Open Service Atlas

Service Atlas, the PirateSERP tool for industry research, builds a service list for an industry from real provider websites. For each service, it records the entities, attributes, verbs, and key phrases that the provider pages state, strictly from what those pages say. Save an OpenRouter key and choose a Preferred LLM in Account Settings before you start research; API keys explains how.

The tiles at the top of the page count the shared research across all accounts: Industries mapped, Services mapped, Sites crawled, Entities identified, Verbs identified, and Key phrases.

Choose an industry

1. Type in Industry to filter the industry list, such as HVAC contractor, and select a match. If no listed industry fits, select Use "YOUR_TEXT" as custom industry.
2. Review Country. The list starts with your default country and All Countries (worldwide), then English-speaking countries and All other countries.
3. Review Language. Your project's industry, country, and language fill the form when your project has them.
4. Choose how to supply provider websites:
   • Click I'll paste company homepages to enter the provider homepages yourself.
   • Click Find companies for me to search for real providers in the selected country and language.

If the industry already has research in the selected language, Service Atlas opens that research immediately with a from cache label, and you can skip to Review services.

Supply provider websites

I'll paste company homepages opens Company homepages for "INDUSTRY" (one per line, up to 20). Enter one homepage per line, such as https://example.com.

Find companies for me lists Real Providers Found as cards with each site's title, address, and description. Every card starts selected. Clear the cards you don't want, or use Select all to select or clear them all. If the search finds no providers, run the industry again with I'll paste company homepages.

A run accepts up to 20 company URLs. The counter under the list reports how many URLs the run holds. When the list holds more than 20, the counter tells you how many URLs to remove. Click Research Selected to start, and follow the progress log. Click Cancel to stop a run.

Service Atlas keeps your pasted list separately for each industry, country, and language while your browser tab stays open. If a run fails, the list is still there when you return to it. After a successful run, Service Atlas clears the list, so Research More starts with an empty list.

Choose providers that offer the services you want to study. Leave out directories, marketplaces, and articles when you need a service list.

Review services

The Services list names each confirmed service and counts its items. Select a service to read its details:

• Supporting entities: the entities that provider pages name with the service.
• Entity attributes: the properties providers state about those entities.
• Verbs: the actions providers describe.
• Key phrases: phrases the provider pages use about the service.

Items shaded lighter came from an earlier research run; the rest come from the current run.

A service needs enough supporting research before it enters the confirmed list. If Service Atlas reports service candidates without enough supporting research, click Research More to add providers. Several pages from one website do not count as independent confirmation.

Research describes the selected providers. It does not establish that your business offers the same services. Keep your own business facts in your business profile.

Review relationships

Click Build Ontology on a service to open its ontology panel, or click Build All Ontologies to build every service in the industry. Click Hide Ontology to close the panel.

The ontology panel contains these sections:

• What providers say lists the attributes and descriptions that provider sites state about the service, such as "licensed and insured" or an operating temperature. Each row shows how many sites state it, and the most-stated rows come first. Open a row to read each site's wording and domain. If a service has no What providers say section, click Research More to add research that includes it.
• Stated relationships lists subject, relation, and object statements in the direction the sources stated them. Hold the pointer over a row to read its source sentence.
• Related Entities lists entity pairs that appear together in the research, with Mentions together and Association. A strong association marks a topic to review; it does not establish a factual relationship.

Click Build Ontology inside the panel to build the relationship tables, or Rebuild to build them again. The tables group relationships into categories such as Taxonomic / Hierarchical, Mereological (Part-Whole), and Service actions, each with Subject, Relation, Object, and Evidence. Hold the pointer over an evidence label to read its source passage, and read that passage before you rely on the relationship.

Entity Relatedness ranks related entities with Graph, Similarity, Popularity, and Combined scores. Use it to find subjects worth checking in your content, not as a list of terms to add. Sparse source material can produce an empty result.

Explore the graph

Click Visualize Graph to open the industry's services, entities, and their connections as a graph. Select a node for its details and source links. Read the Entity Graph Viewer guide for filtering and navigation.

Continue or export research

Click Research More to add provider evidence to the industry. It reopens the source you chose on the form: an empty paste list for I'll paste company homepages, or another provider search for Find companies for me.

Click Copy Content Brief to copy the research summary, or Export Text to download it as a text file. The summary differs from the generated outline in Content Editor.

Use research in other tools

Open Content Editor and click Start from Industry Research to write from a researched industry. The research panel supplies terms, entities, verbs, and phrasing suggestions.

Select the researched industry in Entity SEO Auditor when you audit a related page.

Service Atlas industry research is shared across accounts; it is not a private client notebook. Saved research is organized by language, so check Language when an industry appears to be missing. Read Languages for language-specific limits.

Only administrators see the Delete Industry, Delete Service, and item deletion controls. Removing shared research removes it for every account.
