Niche Insights
Browse niches, compare demand, and collect ideas for further research.
Niche Insights, the PirateSERP catalog of product niches, lists niches by monthly search volume and advertiser cost per click (CPC). Each niche opens a detail view with its keyword ideas, trend history, subcategories, Amazon listings, and ranking domains. Search data is included with your subscription, so you don't need a separate data-provider key.
Find a niche
- Enter a niche or topic of at least three characters in the Niche or topic field, and click Search. You can instead click a category, such as Appliances or Automotive, to browse it.
- Enter Min and Max values for Volume or CPC to narrow the list.
- Choose Sort by: Volume (high), Volume (low), CPC (high), CPC (low), Name (a-z), or Name (z-a).
- Click Filter to apply the ranges and sort order.
- Click a niche card's image or name to open its detail view.
Each niche card shows the niche name, Vol, CPC, and a line of its monthly searches. Click Load more to add more cards. Click Reset to clear the ranges and restore the default sort. Click All to return to the full catalog.
Save favorites
Click the star on a niche card, or beside the niche name in the detail view, to save the niche. Click My Favorites to list your saved niches. Favorites belong to your account, so they stay the same when you switch projects.
Use the detail tabs
The detail view shows the niche's category path, Search volume, CPC, and root category. Click Copy name to copy the niche name. Related niches at the end of the view opens a neighboring niche.
| Tab | What to review |
|---|---|
| Trend | Monthly searches (12 months) with its peak, Search interest (since 2004), and Related queries, including Rising queries. Click Open in Google Trends to continue in Google Trends. |
| Keywords | Keyword ideas for the niche, with Volume, CPC, and Competition. Click Copy all to copy the keywords, or Export CSV to download them. |
| Topics | Subcategories as an expandable outline, and Related topics. Click Copy all to copy the outline as indented text. |
| Products | Live Amazon listings with price, rating, and Best Seller or Amazon's Choice badges, plus links to Amazon's best-seller list for the niche and each subcategory. |
| Top Performers | Domains that rank for the niche, with Best rank, Ranked pages, and Top page. |
The Products tab can take a couple of minutes to load live Amazon listings the first time you open a niche; keep the dialog open while it loads.
Interpret the metrics
Search volume and CPC describe United States search data for the niche term. A missing value does not mean that the niche's subcategories or related topics have no demand.
Use the Trend tab to check seasonality before you commit to a niche. Confirm product prices and availability on the linked Amazon page before you include them in published content.
Continue your research
A niche's category structure is a starting point, not a complete content plan. Enter a niche phrase in Keyword Research to compare its keywords in your own market and language. Build a map in Topical Maps to plan pillar and cluster pages. Draft a product comparison in Product Roundup with products from the Products tab.
