Open Product Roundup

Product Roundup, a PirateSERP tool in the Products group of the sidebar, writes a Markdown buying guide from the pages you supply: a single-product review for one product, or a comparison of up to five products. It uses only facts from those pages and your notes. Product Roundup runs on your own OpenRouter API key and chosen model, so save both in Account Settings first. Read API keys for setup.

Add products

1. Select the project. If Business product is available, choose the saved product to fill the first product URL, then check the filled value.
2. Enter the product's own page URL next to Product 1.
3. Optionally, add your own first-hand notes about the product in the notes field that appears.
4. Click Add review URL to attach up to three review pages to the product, each with optional notes.
5. Click Add another product to add more products, up to five.

Keep each review with the product it describes. Every product with reviews or notes needs its own product URL. If one is missing, Generate Roundup stays unavailable and a message names the product: add its URL, or clear its reviews and notes.

Prices come from each product's own page, including the price in the page's product data when the text does not state one. Product Roundup ignores prices on review pages, because review prices go stale. Review pages supply supporting observations and opinions.

Set the byline and disclosure

Open Byline & business info (optional) to enter a Title / category hint, Author name, Author link, Editor name, Editor link, Business name, Business phone, Business address, and Where the products were purchased.

If the project has saved people, choose one in Author (choose explicitly). Confirm that the person wrote or reviewed the guide.

Select These links are affiliate links (adds a disclosure line) when the guide's product links earn you a commission. This disclosure covers links in the buying guide; it does not enroll you in the PirateSERP affiliate program.

Click Save for this project to prefill the byline and business details for every roundup in the active project. Review the saved values before each guide.

Generate and review

Click Generate Roundup. The progress log shows each page as Product Roundup reads it. If you leave the page and return, it reconnects to the running roundup. Click Cancel to stop a run, and wait until Cancelling… clears.

A review page with little or partly unreadable text contributes fewer facts, and the roundup continues without it. A page that cannot be reached stops the roundup with a message that names the URL. If no page yields readable facts, add first-hand notes or replace the URLs.

The finished guide shows its title, the Markdown, and a Still needs your input list of placeholders such as [AUTHOR_NAME]. Replace each placeholder with accurate information. Review the comparisons, product claims, byline, and disclosure, and remove any claim you cannot substantiate, including claims of personal testing you did not perform.

Verify prices and availability on each product page before you publish.

Export or reopen

Click Copy Markdown or Download .md to move the guide into your editor or publishing workflow. Edit the Markdown there; the guide in Product Roundup is read-only.

Past roundups lists the guides saved in the active project, each marked single or comparative. Click a title to reopen it, or click its trash icon to delete it. To find roundups saved under another project, switch projects. Product Roundup does not publish the guide to your website.
